Bristol City Women are delighted to announce that Maddie Durrant has signed her first professional contract with the club.

City’s academy graduate has put pen to paper on a professional deal following an impressive journey through the Robins' youth ranks and a successful loan spell last season.

Durrant spent the 2025/26 campaign on dual registration with Exeter City, where she gained valuable experience.

Speaking on her first professional deal, Maddie said: “It feels unreal, it’s a childhood dream of mine but I can’t wait to get started. Bristol City has really helped me develop as both a player and a person and I think the girls around here are amazing. It just feels right for me.

“There are a lot of coaches, a lot of people that have played a massive role in my development and helped me get here today so I owe it all to them.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy said: “Signing your first professional contract for any player is a huge achievement, and Maddie has really earned it.

She spent a lot of time in our environment last season and gave a really good account of herself. We want to make sure we provide a pathway for local talent into professional football and Maddie is a great example to other players that if you have the quality, the work rate and the right attitude, there is opportunity for you here.”

Academy Manager, Nat Haigh, is proud to see Maddie make the step up, she said: "We are all incredibly proud of Maddie. Seeing a player progress all the way through our academy system to sign a professional contract is exactly why we do what we do.

"Maddie has shown outstanding dedication ever since she arrived, she’s really earned her opportunity, and we look forward to watching her continue to grow in the first-team environment."
