McSheffrey signs for City.

Bristol City Women have completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Hope McSheffrey.

The 18-year-old shot-stopper joins the Robins from Arsenal, where she featured for the Gunners’ Under-21 side.

McSheffrey has spent time on dual registration with Watford and Hashtag United in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, gaining valuable senior experience.

Internationally, McSheffrey has represented both England and Wales at youth level. She helped the England Under-17 squad reach the final of the 2024 UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship and the semi-finals of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

City’s latest recruit now represents Wales Under-19’s.

Speaking on her move to Bristol City, Hope McSheffrey said: "It feels great to be a Robin, I’m really excited to see what the future holds here.

The ambition to get promoted and do well this season mainly attracted me, and being part of this squad is an absolute pleasure."
