Bristol City Women are delighted to announce the appointment of Pascal Xanthos, who joins Charlotte Healy's first-team coaching staff ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Xanthos arrives at the Robins following an impressive coaching journey across both academy and senior football, bringing a wealth of tactical knowledge, analytical expertise and player development experience.
Beginning his coaching career within the MK Dons Academy, Pascal progressed to become Head Coach of the club's Women's Under-23 side, where he played a key role in developing players for senior football.
He then joined Everton, initially leading the club's Under-16 programme before moving into the Women's First Team as a Performance Analyst, gaining valuable experience within a Women's Super League environment. Alongside his role at Everton, Xanthos also spent time working for FIFA as a Football Tournament analyst, working across the men’s and women’s World Cup and CONCACAF.
Most recently, Pascal spent two seasons as Assistant Manager at Hearts Women, helping guide the club through its most successful period, which saw Hearts win the SWPL for the first time in their history during the 25/26 season.
Pascal joins Paul Temple (Assistant Coach) and Matt James (Head of Goalkeeping) in Healy’s Technical team as City continues to strengthen its football and operations department ahead of the new campaign.
Upon joining Xanthos said: “I'm incredibly proud to be joining City Women. "From my first conversations with Charlotte and the club, it was clear there is an ambitious vision and a genuine commitment to creating an environment where players and staff can maximise their potential and perform each day.
"I'm passionate about helping players develop, contributing to a progressive style of football and working within a high-performance culture. I'm excited to get started, meet the players and staff, and play my part in helping the club achieve its ambitions.
"I can't wait to begin this next chapter and I'm looking forward to what lies ahead."
Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: "We're thrilled to welcome Pascal to Bristol City Women. Throughout the recruitment process, Pascal consistently demonstrated an exceptional level of tactical understanding and detail.
“He's an outstanding coach with a fantastic football mind, bringing valuable experience from a range of high-performance environments. His tactical knowledge, attention to detail and passion for player development make him an excellent addition to our coaching team.”
She continued: “Just as importantly, Pascal is a great person whose values align with the culture we're building at the club. We're excited to have him on board and look forward to the positive impact he'll have on our players and staff.”
Everyone at Bristol City Women would like to welcome Pascal to the club and wish him every success in BS3.
