A partnership worth raising a glass for!

Thatchers Cider has renewed its partnership with Bristol City Women, continuing a long-standing relationship with the club as it enters an exciting new chapter as an independent football club.

The family-owned Somerset cider maker has been a longstanding supporter of Bristol City Women and the wider growth of women’s sport, having previously featured prominently on the club’s playing shirts.

The renewed partnership brings together two organisations with deep roots in the South West and a shared commitment to supporting the local community and growing the women’s game.

As Bristol City Women prepares for the 2026/27 season, the continued support of Thatchers represents an important endorsement of the club’s ambition and its future as an independent organisation.

“We're hugely proud to continue our support for Bristol City Women. It's a club we've built a brilliant relationship with and admire all that's been achieved for the growth of women's football and, for inspiring the local community with the sport. The club is set for an exciting time ahead and we're really pleased to be a part of that next exciting phase.” - Ruby Cahill, Marketing Executive at Thatchers

“Thatchers and Bristol City Women go back a long way, so continuing this journey together as the club steps into an independent future feels like a natural progression. We’ve always shared a deep passion for the region and we can’t wait to raise a glass of cider to the new season with all the fans. Thank you to Thatchers for their continued support!” - Sophie Loveday, Commercial Partnerships Manager at Bristol City Women

The partnership will continue throughout the 2026/27 season, with both organisations looking forward to celebrating another season of Bristol City Women football with supporters across the region.
