Bristol City Women have completed the permanent signing of central midfielder Eilidh Shore on a two-year-deal.

The 24-year-old midfielder joins City following a two-year spell with Hearts in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

Before her time in Edinburgh, Shore spent five years with Aberdeen, where she made over 150 first-team appearances.

City’s first summer recruit has also represented Scotland at U17, U19, and U23 levels.

During her recent stint with Hearts, Shore marked her Edinburgh Derby debut by scoring the opening goal in a 4-0 win against Hibernian at Easter Road.

On signing for City, she said: “It feels amazing to finally be here and get the deal over the line.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting the girls and just getting going. The facilities here are amazing, from the pitches to the gym; it’s just top quality here, and I’m really excited to get started.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy said: “We’re delighted to bring Eilidh to Bristol City Women.

Eilidh has had a fantastic two seasons at Hearts, having been instrumental in helping them win the title last season. She is also the captain of Scotland U23s, and we are so excited by her potential.

We want to ensure that, as a club, we continue to attract top young talent and give them a platform to develop and perform, and we feel that Eilidh fits that profile perfectly.

We’re excited to have her in with us and look forward to seeing her showcase her quality within our group.”
