Bristol City Women suffered a 2-1 defeat at the SEAH Stadium against Wolves in the Subway Players Cup.
Wolves struck first through Yana Daniëls before Emily Syme’s leveller was cancelled out by a fantastic Melissia FIlis strike.
In added time, Charlotte Healy’s side had the ball in the back of the net as Alexia Apostolakis headed in but it was controversially ruled out for offside.

Maria Farrugia was first to cause trouble for Wolves as she carved out City’s opening chance of the game, flashing an effort at goal which was pushed away by Emily Orman.
Emma Bissell came next for City from close range but her driven strike was well saved.
Bissell continued to cause trouble and came closest to finding an opener for City after catching Orman off her line, but the lobbed effort from range just sailed over the Wolves bar to see the score level at the break.
Wolves started the second half quickest, scoring inside a minute of the restart after a well worked move was rounded off by Yana Daniëls.
Just five minutes later and it looked as though Sophie Ingle would have City level but her effort from no more than five yards out was lifted over the bar.
City eventually found the equaliser, courtesy of captain Emily Syme.
Oliwia Woś’s long ball in behind was expertly brought down by the City Women skipper who rolled home into the bottom corner to level the scoring.
The home side however with less than ten minutes to play found a second after Fran Bentey had done exceptionally well to deny Wolves on numerous occasions before Melissa Filis fired a strike into the bottom corner, from outside the box.
Substitutes Kate Robinson and Lotta Lindström looked bright for City but it wasn’t to be.
