Lindström signs for City .

19 Sep 2026

Bristol City Women are delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated Finnish international forward Lotta Lindström from London City Lionesses on a permanent deal.

The 21-year-old striker, who spent the latter half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Birmingham City, has put pen to paper on a multi-year contract, as we look to bolster our attacking options ahead of the upcoming season.

Lindström burst onto the European stage in 2023 with Kansallinen Liiga side HJK Helsinki. She finished as the league’s top scorer with 17 goals in just 23 appearances, with her form earning her a move to London City Lionesses in early 2024.

Despite a spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury, the powerful forward showcased her intelligent movement and clinical finishing before going on loan to Birmingham City. She is now establishing herself for the Finnish senior national team, with 14 caps already to her name.

On signing for the club, Lindström said: “I’m really excited to be here, and I can’t wait to get started and get to know everyone.

I was really keen to come from the initial conversations; the training ground looks really good, and the stadium is fantastic, so I can’t wait to play here.”

Head Coach Charlotte Healy said: “Lotta is a young player with fantastic potential. She had a brilliant breakout season in Finland and showed her qualities as a prolific goalscorer in Helsinki. She has since become an important part of her International Team, too.

After returning from Injury last season, Lotta showed her quality in the WSL2, and we are really excited to bring her into the club. Her clever movement and her ability to finish off both feet will add quality and firepower to our squad - we’re delighted to attract a player of her calibre to our club.”
