Bristol City Women secured their first home win of the season after beating Southampton 2-1 at Ashton Gate this afternoon.
The visitors found an opener inside the first minute of the game through Freya Jupp but close range finishes from Lotta Lindström and Sophie Ingle were enough to see City claim all three points.
Healy had made just one change from the side that drew 0-0 with Burnley as Esther Morgan replaced Oliwia Woś.
The result lifts Charlotte Healy’s side into 6th in the Barclays WSL2 table, taking seven points from their last three games.
Simon Parker’s Southampton had got off to the perfect start in the West Country, opening the scoring inside just the first minute of the game yet it was City who had the first attempt on goal.
Maria Farrugia carved a chance out of nothing, dancing her way into Saints’ box before firing an effort on goal that Moloney was equal to.
Southampton responded quickly and had themselves in front within the minute as Ellie Brazil’s cut back was perfect for Jupp to fire home.
The visitors applied the pressure from then on - with chances coming consistently through the first-half, the best of which seeing Amy Goddard hit the woodwork before the break.
Parker’s side headed into the break comfortably after a first-half which could’ve seen them at least three goals to the good.
The City response however was nothing short of remarkable and it took just ten minutes for Healy’s side to find an equaliser.
Captain Emily Syme weaved her way through the Saints defence before unleashing an effort which looked destined for the top corner.
Grace Moloney did well to deny the skipper but could only parry her save as far as Lindström who stroked home inside the Saints area.
Continuing to apply the pressure, The Robins found themselves in front courtesy of Sophie Ingle.
From one Welsh international to another, it was Esther Morgan who floated the cross, which Ingle took down excellently before firing into the bottom corner.
To cap off an exceptional second-half display, 16-year-old Neeve McDonald was introduced from the City bench to make her home debut.
Charlotte Healy’s side head into the international break with three hard earned points, before they face Southampton again in the Subway League Cup Sunday, October 18th.
