Bristol City welcome Newcastle United to Ashton Gate for their first home game of the 2026/27 campaign on Saturday, September 12th (5.15pm).
The Robins will be looking to pick up their first points of the season after suffering a 4-1 defeat at Sunderland in last weekend’s WSL2 opener.
Debutant Lotta Lindström had fired Healy’s side ahead inside 14 minutes but first-half leveller was followed with second-half ruthlessness which saw The Lady Lasses claim all three points in the North East.
As for Saturday’s visitors Newcastle, they’ll make the trip to Ashton Gate off the back of a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

For Tanya Oxtoby’s Newcastle it’s been a summer of change, with 11 new faces through the door, one of which in the form of Jessie Gale.
The Arsenal loanee, spent the second-half of last season on loan in BS8 scoring eight times in WSL2 across appearances for both Portsmouth and Bristol City. Gale however, won’t be in contention to play Saturday night as she’s currently away with England Under-20’s at the World Cup.
The Magpies have started their 2026/27 campaign brightly however, winning 2-0 on the opening day at home to newly-promoted Wolves.
Magpies boss Tanya Oxtoby will also be pleased with another new addition. Kathleen McGovern, played a pivotal role in last weekend's win, registering her first assist as a BWSL 2 player.

ONE TO WATCH - BETH LUMSDEN
Lumsden, joined Newcastle from Portsmouth in January 2024 and progressed through the ranks at Arsenal before spending time with Chelsea, Millwall, Charlton and Southampton.
The forward arrived in the North East with goalscoring pedigree, having netted 27 times in 33 appearances for Oxford in 2021/22.
The 27-year-old was named Newcastle’s Player of the Season for 2024/25 and enjoyed a positive campaign last term too, contributing eight times with five goals and three assists in a campaign which saw The Magpies finish 6th.
Newcastle’s one to watch has started this season brightly too, it took just eight minutes for her to find the back of the net in the 2-0 win over Wolves.
